Karin Hellbom was born in Stockholm, Sweden, but has lived in Italy for many years. She lives in Ascoli Piceno, a small town in the Marche, where she works as a freelance translator for companies, translation agencies and private clients. She holds a degree in Art History and Italian Language from the University of Stockholm (fil. kand.) and a degree in Herbalism from the University of Urbino and specializes in medical and technical translations.
